Sheriff: Hatley Man Dies In Logging Accident

HATLEY, Wis. (AP) — Marathon County officials say a man has died in a logging accident in Hatley.

Sheriff's Lt. Randy Albert says the 64-year-old man was cutting logs on a hill at his farm when a log rolled free of a pile. The log rolled into another and pinned the man. He says the man was dead when deputies arrived at the scene Tuesday evening.

Authorities haven't released the victim's name.

Albert says the Hatley Fire Department and Ambulance also responded.
