Sheriff: Driver, 21, Dies In Meeker Co. Rollover Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in central Minnesota say a 21-year-old driver died Wednesday evening after he was thrown from a sports car in a rollover crash.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office said Spencer Dean Latham, of Grove City, was driving a 1989 Ford Mustang when the vehicle went off road and rolled near the intersection of CSAH 11 and CSAH 31.

When deputies got to the scene, they found the sports car in a corn field, and it was determined Latham hadn't been wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators say he was driving west on CSAH 11 when he entered the south ditch and the car rolled.

Officials say they are looking to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash.
