Sheriff: Crash Involving Squad In Minneapolis, No injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said there were no injuries after an accident involving a Hennepin County Sheriff's squad car Sunday afternoon in downtown Minneapolis.

The crash happened just after 12 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 8th Street and 4th Avenue. An investigation showed that the driver of a minivan ran a stop light and broad-sided a squad car in the intersection.

There were no injuries in the crash. It's not clear what led up to the driver running the red light, and it's not know how many people were inside the van when the crash happened.
