Sheriff: Brooklyn Center Man Hurt In Pierce Co. (Wis.) Motorcycle Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 55-year-old man from Brooklyn Center was hurt Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in western Wisconsin, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities were called at about 3:57 p.m. to the motorcycle accident on 170th Avenue and Highway 35 in Hager City, Wis., in Trenton Township. An investigation showed the motorcycle was heading westbound on 170th Avenue and failed to negotiate a curve.

The operator lost control of the motorcycle, and it crashed into the north ditch and fell over. The operator was transported to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing with undetermined injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the Red Wing Police Department Red Wing and Ellsworth (Wis.) Fire Departments and Ellsworth First Responders.
