Sheriff: Body Found In Mississippi River In St. Paul Park
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office says an unidentifed body has been found on the Mississippi River in St. Paul Park Wednesday morning.
At 9:15 a.m., the sheriff's office was alerted to a body found near Hidden Harbor Marina. The body was discovered by Minnesota DNR employees who were doing research on a side channel south of the marina.
The body, which authorities say has been in the water for some time, was recovered and turned over to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner for positive identification.
The amount of time the body has been in the water will slow the identification process.
