Sheriff: 4 In Custody In Fridley Assault

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said Sunday four people are in custody in connection with an assault Saturday morning in Fridley that left two men hospitalized in critical condition.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's office 25-year-old Kevin Lilroy Moore, of Spring Lake Park, 22-year-old Leanne Ranae Todd, of Minneapolis, 22-year-old Tiffani Marie Ivy, of St. Paul, and Marcus Fultz, 20, were arrested in connection with the assault.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office and Fridley Police were called at about 4:25 a.m. Saturday on a report that two men were injured in the area of 77th Avenue and Main Street in Fridley. When police arrived, they found the badly-injured men – later identified as Anthony McCollum and Yani Singh -- who had driven to the area to flee their attackers.

McCollum was conscious and able to talk to police, while Singh was non-responsive. Police say the two were at Two Stooges Sports Bar in Fridley until 2 a.m. Saturday morning. They met two women who asked them for a ride to the area of University Avenue and Mississippi Street. When they arrived, two men ambushed McCollum and Yani and stabbed them multiple times before taking off with the women.

The victims were taken to the intensive care unit at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where they both remain in critical condition. Police said the attack appears to be random.
