Sheriff: 4 Arrested After Chase In Wright County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Four people were arrested Thursday after a police chase in Wright County ended with the recovery of stolen property, authorities said.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office observed a 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood that had been stolen traveling eastbound on County Road 35 towards St. Michael. Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop the vehicle near County Road 35 and Jamison Avenue, but a short pursuit followed and authorities stopped the vehicle about a mile later on Kalberg Ct. and Kahlen Avenue.

The driver, identified as 25-year-old Adam Switala of Monticello, for fleeing a peace officer, receiving stolen property, fifth degree controlled substance and driving after revocation.

Authorities say a 21-year-old Coon Rapids woman, identified as Ashley Garvey, was arrested for receiving stolen property and fifth degree controlled substance. Andrea Aviles, 32 of Big Lake, was arrested for receiving stolen property and possession of hypodermic needles. Kyle Leseman, 24 of Elk River, was arrested for possession of stolen property, fifth degree controlled substance and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.

The vehicle had been reported stolen on Wednesday from a residence in Monticello Township.
