MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person has died in a head-on crash involving a milk truck Tuesday morning near Cumberland, Wisconsin.

The Barron County Sheriff's office says the fatal crash happened at about 6:24 a.m. on Highway 48 and 3rd Street.

Twenty-year-old Stephanie Ann Newville, from Cumberland, was driving westbound when she reportedly crossed the center line of Hwy 48, leading to a head-on collision with an eastbound milk truck, driven by 65-year-old Leroy Broker, of Turtle Lake.

Newville was killed, but Broker was not injured. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.

The sheriff's office says both vehicles were engulfed in flames when the initial rescue crew arrived.

The crash closed down Hwy 48 for about three hours.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating.
