State Patrol: Driver Killed In Sherburne Co. Broadside Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A driver was killed Tuesday afternoon in a broadside crash on Highway 10 in Sherburne County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Hwy. 10 at County Road 65.

The driver, 84-year-old Rose M. Wipper, of Clear Lake, was traveling westbound in a Chevrolet Impala on C.R. 65 when a Ford F-150 pickup truck, driving northwest on Hwy. 10, slammed into the Impala's driver's-side door.

Wipper was killed in the crash. The driver of the pickup, 53-year-old Joel Saldana from Rice, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The state patrol and the Sherburne County Sheriff's office are investigating.
