Sheila E. To Headline 2nd Prince Tribute At Orchestra Hall

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – If you couldn't get tickets to the Prince tribute at the Xcel on Oct. 13, you're in luck.

Another tribute has just been announced.

Prince's protégé, percussionist Sheila E, announced Friday that she will headline a tribute concert next month in Minneapolis.

The Purple Philanthropy Sheila E Benefit Concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Orchestra Hall on Oct. 23.

In addition to performance by Sheila E. and Pete Escovedo, youth performers from Minnesota will also play.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Purple Philanthropy fund administered by the Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project. Organizations that Prince supported in the past can apply for grants from Purple Philanthropy.

Tickets cost between $43.50 and $153.50.
