UW-Stout Student From MN Bled To Death After Fall While Intoxicated

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A report released Tuesday shows a UW-Stout student from Shakopee was drinking heavily before his death in April and died from blood loss after falling on glass.

Officials with the city of Menomonie, Wis., said Rickey Alan Hible, 22, was found dead on a driveway on April 16. The report says Hible, a Shakopee native, had a blood alcohol content of .298, nearly four times the legal limit for driving in Wisconsin. Authorities say no other substances were found in Hible's system at the time.

Hible died of blood loss after falling through glass on a church marquee.

Hilbe was a sophomore majoring in engineering technology with a mechanical design minor, according to the university.
