'Serial Stowaway' Arrested In Fla.; Says She Flew From Minn. Without A Ticket
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman known as the nation's "Serial Stowaway" was arrested Monday after claiming she boarded a plane in Minnesota without a ticket, flew to Jacksonville, Fla., and checked into a Nassau County resort under someone else's name.
Marilyn Hartman, 63, has been involved in dozens of stowaway arrests across the country, three of which occurred last August, garnering national attention.
According to a report from the Nassau County Sheriff's Office, Hartman took a shuttle from the Jacksonville airport to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation where she checked in under another guest's name. When the real person checked in later that day, Hartman disappeared. Security discovered her hiding out in a room under renovation the next day.
The TSA officials say they are investigating the incident.
