Semi, Sedan Collide In Fatal Kandiyohi Co. Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A broadside collision between a semi and a sedan in Kandiyohi County early Sunday morning left one driver dead and another seriously injured.
The State Patrol says the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Highway 7 and the intersection of 135th Street, just west of Prinsburg.
The semi was traveling east on the highway and a Buick Regal was going south on 135th when the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene. The victim's name has yet to be released.
The semi's driver, 35-year-old Walt Palma of Redwood Falls, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital.
The State Patrol says road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
