Police: Semi Hits Pedestrian Crossing Street Near U Of M Campus

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A man is in the hospital Wednesday after being hit by a semi while crossing the street near the University of Minnesota campus.
The Minneapolis Police Department says the pedestrian was struck around 2:13 p.m. at the intersection of Huron Boulevard and University Avenue, near TCF Bank Stadium.
Emergency crews brought the victim to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. He was listed in critical condition Wednesday night.
Police say the semi driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
