Second Chick Hatches In DNR's EagleCam Nest

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- And then there were two! A second bald eagle chick has hatched in the nest watched over by the Minnesota Department of Resources' EagleCam on Wednesday morning.

DNR officials say the second chick is out of their egg, and is being warmed by its parents (who take shifts) alongside the eaglet hatched on Tuesday.

Since the eaglets are typically resting under their parents, DNR EagleCam viewers may notice other animals, or bits thereof, in the nest instead.

Those food sources include fish, pigeons, rabbits, squirrels and ducks.
