Search To Resume For Missing Minnesota Hikers

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The search is resuming for a Minnesota father and son who disappeared in Colorado's mountains last month.

Over 100 mountain rescuers from 13 teams are scheduled to search the Mount Evans area Saturday for Damian and Evan McManus.

The pair, from St. Louis Park, Minnesota, were last heard from April 2 when one of them told a friend they were going to scale a peak. They had been hiking near Mount Evans about 35 miles southwest of Denver.

Last month, officials narrowed the search area to the south and southwest part of a campground near the 14,000-foot-plus peak. The search was suspended after three days. At the time, searchers said they would only resume it some new evidence was found.
