Search Suspended For Missing Waconia Man
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The search for a man who disappeared while paddle boarding in Waconia last month has been suspended, according to the Carvery County Sheriff's office.
Stifter went missing on the afternoon of Nov. 26. He told his wife he was going to paddle board and take pictures on Lake Waconia.
He said he would be home in an hour and a half, but never returned.
Later, law enforcement found his paddle board, empty, anchored in the lake.
Crews have been searching the water and land for weeks.
On Friday, the sheriff's office said the lake has iced over and is not safe.
