Dozens of Minnesota schools delay Thursday start times following snowstorm

A spring snowstorm that lashed Minnesota on Wednesday continues to cause delays in several school districts on Thursday.

The schools affected are mostly in southern Minnesota, including districts in Blue Earth, Jackson County, Madelia, Maple River, Martin County, Mountain Lake, St. James and Windom.

The National Weather Service says more than 9 inches of snow was measured on Wednesday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Snow emergencies are also in effect Thursday in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Osseo and Richfield.
