Say It Ain't Snow! Springtime Snowflakes Headed Toward Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After Minnesotans enjoyed a beautiful week of springtime weather and outdoor fun, it's back to reality this week.

That reality: we live in Minnesota.

Saturday night's showers brought in some cold that will be sticking around for a while -- temperatures aren't forecast to reach 55 degrees for the next week, with Monday's forecast being blustery and bitter.

In fact, temperatures won't even reach 50 until Thursday.

In the meantime, you can expect some measurable snow on Tuesday, especially in northern Minnesota. Those in the Twin Cities shouldn't feel too lucky, either -- there should be a few snowflakes falling in the Metro by mid-morning.

The windchill will feel a lot more like winter in the Twin Cities on Monday, hovering around the low 30s and upper 20s. Overall temperatures will struggle to get into the 40s.

Before the snow comes in, a low pocket in the north will still keep moisture focused on southeastern Minnesota, with showers through Sunday night and heavier rains in Pine Island, Zumbrota and Goodhue.
