Roseville Pawn Shop Robbery Suspect Arrested In Georgia
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police say one man has been arrested in Georgia in connection with a July 21 robbery of a Roseville pawn shop, while another is still at-large.
Roseville Police said Marvin Lee Spencer, 24, was arrested without incident Tuesday by the U.S. Marshal's Office at a hotel in Doraville, Ga. Authorities are still looking for his father, 51-year-old Marvin Spencer. Two investigators with the Roseville Police Department are traveling to Georgia this week to question Marvin Lee Spencer.
Both have been charged with aggravated robbery and attempted intentional second-degree murder in connection with the July 21 robbery of a Pawn America on the 1700 block of Rice Street in Roseville.
According to Roseville police, officers responded to a call of a shooting at the pawn shop. The suspects had fired multiple rounds of gun shots, threatened employees with the gun and stole jewelry from the store.
According to the attorney's office, a citizen from Doraville, Ga., contacted local police with the whereabouts of the suspects.
The citizen heard two men bragging in a hotel about a jewelry store robbery they had committed in Minnesota.
