1 person in custody following Twin Cities standoff

One person is in custody following an hourslong standoff at an apartment complex in Roseville, Minnesota, Thursday morning.

Roseville police say they were called to Coventry Apartments off Ashbury Street at about 4 a.m. on a report of shots fired inside the complex.

Ramsey County's SWAT team was called in to assist, with the standoff ending just before 8 a.m.

Police say there are no known victims, and they're still looking for a car and driver that had taken off right as officers were showing up.

A WCCO photojournalist at the scene heard some large popping sounds in the area during the standoff. SWAT teams often deploy small explosives as a tactic to force a surrender, but it's unclear if that's the case in this situation.

This story will be updated.
