Rodgers Calls Out Lambeau Fan For 'Prejudicial Ideology'

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WCCO) – Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not pleased with the fan at Lambeau Field who shouted during Sunday's moment of silence before the game against Detroit.

As with all its games over the weekend, the NFL mandated a moment of silence be held for victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris. But during the few second of silence in Green Bay, a fan appeared to have yelled something derogatory regarding Muslims.

After the game, which the Packers lost 18-16, Rodgers expressed his dismay with the yelling fan.

"I was very disappointed with whoever the fan was that made a comment that I thought was really inappropriate during the moment of silence," Rodgers told reporters. "It's that kind of prejudicial ideology that puts us in the position that we're in today as a world."

The quarterback added that he feels the moments of silence, requested by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, are good for the league.

"I think it's important to do things like that," Rodgers said. "We're in a connected world."

Rodgers would not repeat the phrase he heard in the pregame silence.
