Rochester Furniture Store Donates Dozens Of Beds To Home For The Disabled

ROCHESTER, Minn. (WCCO) -- Some deserving people will be sleeping better thanks to a generous donation in southern Minnesota.

Ashley Furniture in Rochester donated more than 100 beds Saturday to every resident living at Bear Creek Services. The nonprofit supports people with disabilities.

Football teams from local high schools volunteered to deliver and set up the beds.

"I feel good," John Marshall High student Emmanuel Jada said. "It's a great feeling, coming out here, and I like the team bonding -- being out here with my teammates."

The grand total of 111 beds totaled a combined value of $321,000. All of the donated mattresses were of the high-end brand, Tempur-Pedic.
