Robbinsdale Hy-Vee Delayed Due To Terrace Mall Redevelopment

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Hy-Vee may not be expanding as fast as some Minnesotans were hoping.

On Aug. 18, the city of Robbinsdale received word that the grocery store chain is delaying its decision to move forward with its role in the Terrace Mall redevelopment.

The city remains in discussions with both Hy-Vee and the Terrace Mall property owner.

However, Robbinsdale officials expressed disappointment and called for the citizens to voice their opinions.

They have set up an online survey and are encouraging residents to say if they are for or against the project. For those who are uncomfortable with online petitions, letters and phone calls to City Hall are also an option.

The Robbinsdale City Council will address the issue at a special City Council meeting on Aug. 23.

For more information on the meeting, or to sign the petition, visit the city of Robbinsdale online.
