Request Denied: Mom Who Hid Daughters Will Be On Probation Until 2022

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The former Lakeville woman convicted of hiding her two daughters from their father will have to be on probation until 2022.

Sandra Grazzini-Rucki asked the judge if she could serve eight months in prison instead of her sentence that called for six years of probation and 15 days in jail each year until 2022.

On Monday, Dakota County Judge Karen Asphaug said no.

The teenage girls disappeared in 2013 while their parents were battling for custody.

The girls were found at a horse ranch in Herman last year. They are now back with their father.
