Report: NFL Appealing Decision To Overturn Peterson's Suspension

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A new report says the NFL is appealing the decision to overturn Vikings Running Back Adrian Peterson's suspension.

ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling reports the league believes Judge David Doty should have deferred to the league's collective bargaining agreement.

Judge Doty overturned Peterson's suspension back in late February.

The running back met with Goodell on Tuesday. Peterson can be considered for reinstatement next Wednesday.

The report says the NFL's appeal is not likely to be heard in court until long after Peterson's status in the league has been resolved.
