Report: Goodhue Co. Sheriff's Employee Investigated For Alleged Secret Recordings

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 49-year-old Red Wing woman is accused of illegally recording her co-workers at the Goodhue County Sheriff's record department because she thought they were talking behind her back, according to the Post Bulletin in Rochester.

The newspaper reports Diane Lynne Miller now faces one felony charge of intentionally intercepting wire/electronic or oral communications.

Miller was reportedly investigated and placed on administrative leave after her ex-husband contacted both of the victims who were recorded. The Rice County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation.

Miller could face consequences ranging from corrective action to termination, and the felony charge carries a penalty of up to five years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.
