Report: Cubs-Indians Game 7 Draws Most Viewers Since Twins' Win In 1991

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Chicago Cubs are basking in their World Series victory, and though the Minnesota Twins have not won since 1991, they still hold one World Series record.

Austin Karp on Twitter reports Game 7 of Cubs-Indians was the second-most watched MLB game in the last 25 years.

The most watched? Game 7 of the 1991 World Series, when the Twins defeated the Atlanta Braves 1-0 in extra innings.

Wednesday night's game had just over 40 million viewers, Karp said, while the finale of the Twins-Braves series drew 50.34 million viewers.
