Sheriff: 3 Killed In Pipestone County Plane Crash ID'd

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Three people are dead after a small plane crashed in Pipestone County Monday night, according to the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday evening, emergency responders were dispatched the report of an aircraft that went down in a field south of Holland, Minnesota. Upon arrival, a small fixed wing airplane was discovered by responders in a cornfield on a waterway in Grange Township Section 13.

The occupants of the plane, a pilot and two passengers, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Tuesday, the pilot was identified as 59-year-old Steven Christensen of rural Pipestone, 18-year-old Marcos Fevela of Torreon, Mexico and a 13-year-old girl from Guadalajar, Mexico.

The Pipestone County Sheriff's Office and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
