Regions Hospital Locked Down For Knife-Wielding Man
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Regions Hospital was locked down for about 20 minutes Thursday night because of a man wielding a knife.
The emergency room was evacuated during the lockdown, which started around 6:55 p.m.
A man in an automobile was standing outside the emergency room, making threats, while a woman and an infant sat in the vehicle.
Police used a Taser to subdue the man.
The hospital is now clear and open for normal activity.
The man is now in custody, and he is being treated for non-life threatening, self-inflicted injuries.
Neither the woman nor the infant were harmed in the incident, police say.
