Red Bulls No Longer Heading To Africa To Battle Ebola

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Nearly 300 Minnesota National Guard soldiers who have been preparing for a deployment to Liberia have been told their mission has been called off.

The guard's 34th Red Bull Infantry Division based in Rosemount was planning to go to Liberia this spring
to support the effort to contain the Ebola virus.

But because the number of West Africans who have been infected with Ebola has dropped dramatically, the Red Bulls are no longer needed.

The Ebola virus has killed more than 8,000 people.
