Recipe: Molten Mocha Mug Cake

Molten Mocha Mug Cake

All you need:

¼ cup Performance Inspired mocha-flavored protein powder, or
chocolate-flavored protein powder
1 tbsp Hershey's dark chocolate cocoa powder
2 tbsp Sola sweetener (or sweetener of choice)
½ tsp Hy-Vee baking powder
¼ tsp Hy-Vee baking soda
¾ tsp Hy-Vee instant coffee
1/8 tsp Hy-Vee salt
1 Hy-Vee large egg
5 tbsp Hy-Vee skim milk
Hy-Vee powdered sugar, for dusting, if desired
Hy-Vee caramel syrup, for drizzling, if desired

All you do:

1. Add protein powder, cocoa powder, sweetener, baking powder, baking soda, instant coffee and
salt to a 16-oz microwave-safe mug. Stir with a fork until evenly combined. Stir in egg yolk and
skim milk. Stir until completely incorporated.
2. Place mug into microwave. Microwave on 30% power for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from
microwave and allow to cool for 3 minutes. Serve, sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled
with caramel syrup, if desired.
