Real Estate Survey Lists Minnesota Among Least Patriotic States

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A new list came out that Minnesota is at the top of, but it may not be something we should be proud of.

In a new online survey, Minnesota was found to be one of the least patriotic states in America.

Minnesota came in 49 out of 50.

Last place for patriotism goes to California.

The real estate site, Movoto, used criteria such as national historic landmarks per capita, veterans per capita, how much each state spends on vets, percentage of people who votes, how many people Google "buy American flags" in the state and the number of people who listed "America" as an interest on Facebook to determine the ranking.

While Minnesota was number one when it came to voter turnout, residents of the state apparently don't like to show their love online.

Minnesota was nearly last when it came to liking America on Facebook and Googling for flags.

The most patriotic state was South Carolina.

In a different survey by the social media site My Life, cities were ranked on level of patriotism.

Minneapolis came in at 47 and St. Paul was 97 out of 100 of the most populous cities.

The most patriotic city is San Diego, California.

The least is Laredo, Texas.
