Southern Minnesota To Get Drenched, Flooding A Concern
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An end-of-summer soaking is in the forecast.
The National Weather Service says rainclouds are heading into Minnesota on Tuesday, looking to sweep over the central and southern parts of the state from west to east.
The rainclouds will linger until Thursday, pouring rain on southern Minnesota, particularly the southeast corner of the state.
Some areas there could see more than four inches of rain, the National Weather Service says. Flash flooding is a concern.

The rain will hit the Twin Cities metro overnight Tuesday, following a day of partly-cloudy skies and above-average temperatures. The metro area could see 3 to 4 inches of rain this week.
WCCO-TV meteorologist Matt Brickman says there's a marginal risk of severe weather over the coming days, with the chief concern being hail.
While the rainclouds look to move out of the state by Thursday, the weekend also looks to bring storms.
Meanwhile, northern Minnesota should be mostly dry this week, as the state experiences a rather warm first week of fall.
