Minneapolis' Quatrefoil Library Turns 30

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A piece of the LGBT community in the Twin Cities celebrated a milestone earlier this week.

Quatrefoil Library is 30 years old, and WCCO's Mike Augustyniak served as emcee at their birthday celebration Thursday night.

Some of the library's collection was on display, and local author Jonathan Odell spoke about how stories can heal the community.

The volunteer-run library -- which is completely independent of city and state government funding -- is dedicated to providing a welcoming place for the lesbian, gay, bi and transgender people through literature and media.
