Quadriga Statue Returns To State Capitol

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A very visible part of the restoration of the Minnesota State Capitol is now complete.

The large gold statue known as "Progress of the State" on top of the front of the building is home again.

A crane hoisted the quadriga charioteer, so it can again guide the golden horses.

The statue came down six months ago for repairs to damage caused by years of harsh Minnesota winters.
