Prince Tours Offer A Look At His Notable Spots Around Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Twin Cities and the world have come to Minneapolis to celebrate his life. He was proud to call this city home.

While most fans have been to First Avenue or Paisley Park to pay their respects, there are many other places around town where he's left his mark.

The group "Meet Minneapolis" has compiled a map of 23 places Prince frequented throughout his life. The online guide includes his homes, music venues and other significant spots the musician was seen at. Others are locations highlighted in the movie "Purple Rain."

Just a heads up -- some of the places no longer exist or have become other things, but each spot on the self-guided tour includes a description of its significance.

If you'd prefer to make a day of it, there are companies who are doing bus tours, too. Click here for more information.
