Prince + Fireworks For Minneapolis' 4th Of July Celebration

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Celebrate Independence Day at "Red, White and Boom" in Minneapolis Monday.

Hosted by the city's parks and recreation board, the event attracts more than 75,000 people to sites along the downtown riverfront every year.

There will be live music, great food and fun activities. And of course, it's all capped off by the fireworks grand finale -- which will be choreographed to a mix of Prince songs.

Red, White and Boom starts Monday at 6 a.m. with the T.C. Half Marathon, relay and 5K races.

Other events are from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m. Click here for more information.
