Power Outage Disrupts LRT Service In Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Metro Transit reported that light-rail train service was disrupted Wednesday morning as the result of a power outage.

Metro Transit said that the outage was affecting both the Blue Line along Hiawatha Avenue as well as the Green Line between Minneapolis and St. Paul's downtowns.

Buses were brought in to transport LRT commuters. Some on Twitter noted long lines leading to the buses.

As of about 9:45 a.m., Metro Transit reported service had been restored to the Blue Line, but the Green Line was still affected.
