Poll: 6 In 10 Employees Check Work Email Outside Business Hours

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Many workers take their jobs home with them on their phone or laptop. But a new poll shows that a majority of Americans don't mind taking the office home.

A Gallup poll shows six in 10 workers check their email outside of normal business hours. Of those, very few said it bothers them. Seventeen percent even said it had a positive effect.

Many said they just take a quick look to make sure there's not an emergency or respond only in critical conditions.
