Poll: Minnesotans Favor Medical Marijuana Legalization 3 To 1

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – More than three quarters of Minnesotans favor the legalization of medical marijuana, according to a poll commissioned by the Minnesota chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (MN NORML).

The data gathered by Public Policy Polling also show nearly half of Minnesotans believe cannabis should be legalized and regulated for social use, as it has in Colorado and Washington.

Just last summer, a bill legalizing the use of medical cannabis for seriously ill patients was signed into law. Since then, the Minnesota Department of Health has begun the process of vetting and selecting two medical marijuana manufacturers in the state.
