Police: Woman Leads Officers On 100MPH Chase In Eagan

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman was arrested and then rushed to the hospital after a high-speed chase and brief standoff in Eagan Friday afternoon.

Police say an officer tried to pull a woman over on Interstate 35E and Lone Oak Road for expired registration and an equipment violation.

The driver did not stop, and led officers on a chase that reached speeds of 100 miles per hour in what police called medium traffic.

Police called off the chase at 77th Street, and the woman's abandoned vehicle was found nearby. Witnesses told police they saw a white woman who ran into a house in the neighborhood.

Traffic to 77th Street was then blocked by police as they communicated with the woman, who had a warrant for her arrest in Anoka County. She eventually surrendered to officers.

Police say the woman was then brought to the hospital for an unrelated medical issue.
