Police: Suspect Sought After Man Shot, Killed In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a suspect after a man was shot to death in Minneapolis Sunday night.

Police were called to the 3600 block of Humboldt Avenue North at about 9:45 p.m. after a report of several shots fired in the area. When officers arrived, they found a man dead inside a vehicle. The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.

Police canvassed the scene and said they are following up on leads in the case, but no arrests have been made.

The victim is 23-year-old James Henderson Cole of Minneapolis. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says Cole's death was a homicide -- the result of shotgun wounds to the head.
