Police Standoff In New Hope Ends Without Incident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A police standoff in New Hope has ended without injury Wednesday morning.

According to New Hope police, officers were called to a domestic incident around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 5900 block of Boone Avenue North.

A man had barricaded himself in his home and refused to come out.

A standoff between the man and police lasted from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police were able to arrest the man without incident.

No one was hurt.

Police did tell WCCO that they have a history with this man.
