Police Seek Suspects In Alexandria Pawn Shop Burglaries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are asking for the public's help to find suspects involved in a pair of pawn shop burglaries in Alexandria Tuesday morning.

Alexandria Police said two burglaries were reported in the early-morning hours at Viking Pawn on the 400 block of Broadway and Alex Pawn on the 400 block of Nokomis. Authorities said multiple hand guns and rifles were stolen from both pawn shops as well as TVs and gaming systems.

Police said at both locations, the locks and deadbolts to the buildings were broken and force was used gain entry. Authorities said they believe the burglaries are related and that at least two suspects are involved.

A stocking hat worn by one of the suspects was recovered at one of the burglaries. If you recognize it, you should call Alexandria Policeat (320) 763-6631 if you know who wears a hat like it or where it could have been purchased from.
