Police Seek Suspects In Albert Lea Hotel Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in southern Minnesota are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery at a hotel on Monday night.

Albert Lea Police received a call at about 11:06 p.m. on a report of an aggravated robbery at the Holiday In Express on the 77000 block of East Main Street. When officers arrived, they learned two men entered the hotel, displayed a handgun to employees and left the business with money.

Authorities said no employees were physically injured in the incident. Albert Lea Police started a search for the two suspects with assistance from the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office, but they were unable to locate the men. They were described as wearing dark clothes with their faces mostly covered at the time of the robbery.
