Police Seek Suspect In Maplewood Bar Gun Pointing Incident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities in the east Twin Cities metro are looking for a suspect after a man allegedly brandished a handgun during an assault at a Maplewood bar Friday night.

Maplewood police officers were called at about 11 p.m. Friday to Bleecher's Bar at 2220 White Bear Avenue North on a report of an armed assault inside the bar. When officers arrived, witnesses said two men were fighting inside the bar when one of men pulled out a small silver gun and pointed it at the man he was fighting with.

Authorities say when the gun was brandished, those who were threatened backed away. The suspect is then seen on surveillance footage backing out of the bar while pointing the gun at other bar patrons.
