Police Seek Suspect In Coon Rapids Store Robbery

COON RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Coon Rapids Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in the Jan. 20 robbery of the Kathy's Dairy Home store.

Police said the incident happened at the store, located at 10490 Hanson Blvd. NW, at about 9:40 a.m. The suspect entered the convenience store displaying a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then assaulted the store clerk as well as two customers.

The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said the suspect is described as a black male about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and in his early 20s. The suspect was wearing an army-style jacket and a stocking cap, and walked across the street when he was picked up by a gray or silver Dodge Charger type of vehicle.

The Coon Rapids Police Department said it has exhausted all leads in the case over the last three months, and the case remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident should call Detective Bill Steiner at (763) 767-6481.

Coon Rapids Police said a reward is being offered to find the suspect.
