Police Seek Suspect In Bloomington Armed Robberies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Bloomington Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect after a pair of robberies in the city over the last 24 hours.

Authorities say they could be part of a recent stretch of several robberies across the Twin Cities metro. Police say on Tuesday, a business on the 7900 block of Portland Ave. was robbed at gunpoint.

On Wednesday, police say the same suspect robbed a business on the 3700 block of W. Old Shakopee Road. In both robberies, the suspect was wearing a mask but is described as a white male about 6 feet tall with a slender build.

Surveillance video from one of the robbery scenes captured the suspect vehicle leaving the robbery. It's described as a silver coupe, possibly a Chevy Cavalier or Cobalt. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at (952) 563-4900.
