Police Seek 3 Suspects In Armed Robbery Near U Of M, 4th In 2 Weeks

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis are searching for three men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred near the University of Minnesota Sunday morning.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, around 3:45 a.m. a man was approached by three males near 8th Street SE and 12th Avenue SE.

The victim reported the three males approached him and robbed him at gunpoint.

The suspects were described as black men, two appearing to be in their 30s. All three were wearing hoodies; one in red, one in grey and one in an unknown color.

The suspects made off with the victim's wallet.

This is the fourth armed robbery to occur near the U of M campus in the last 10 days.
